| THE ADVANTAGE
The ADVANTAGE series of In-Line Coating Systems are Continuous Optical Coating Systems created to transition
batch-type processing to high throughput mass production.
The substrate planetaries are available in many size
options to maximize your system utilization. Five to
six batch systems would be required to equal the ADVANTAGE Series Model 64 output.
The unique feature of the ADVANTAGE Series systems is its
ability to transport fully loaded substrate fixtures
through the system commencing with the load lock then
into the process chamber and ultimately into the unload
lock where the completed parts can be removed.
The system is capable of fully automatic operation
with loading/unloading the planetary being the only
operator intervention required. The control system is
based on a PC and PLC platform with graphic screens
on the computer indicating system status and process
variables. Multiple process “recipes”, once
developed, are stored and run as required, as dictated
by production needs. Manual and semi-automatic modes
are included for initial process development and optimization
as well as troubleshooting or maintenance.
Since the process chamber is constantly maintained
at high vacuum without the detrimental effects of venting
after each coating cycle, high grade optical films are
produced with extremely high rates of reproducibility.
